As LiveSet defines the standard for a brand new type of software application, it generates doubts and questions about its working model and its uses... Here are answers to some of those questions! |
Q. Do I need hardware to run LiveSet? |
A. Yes you do! LiveSet needs at least one Master Keyboard or a Control Surface to generate MIDI signals to process. |
Q. Is LiveSet a virtual synth? |
A. No, it's not. World is full of great audio generation softwares - Reason is just one - why create one more?! LiveSet is all about controlling those softwares in realtime to take the best out of them. |
Q. Can I control external hardware devices? |
A. Yes, you can route processed signals to external MIDI devices with the MidiOut module. It also features SysEx messages and a precise Midi Time Code generation engine for synchronization. |
Q. Can I run LiveSet without Reason? |
A. Yes, you can route processed signals to any other ReWire-enabled application using the ReWire preferences tab or to non-ReWire softwares using a virtual MIDI cable such as MIDI Yoke. |
